Woman Engineer Tied to a Chair and Burnt alive : Grisly incident reported in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar state. A woman government junior engineer working with MGNREGA(Mahatma Gandhi National Rural employment Guarantee Act) was allegedly tied to a chair and burnt alive by unidentified persons at her home which she also used as her office,police said Tuesday.

The 42-year-old woman is working as MGNREGA programme at Moraul block of Muzaffarpur.A female engineer living in a rented home in Bajrang Vihar colony under Ahiapur police station. The incident came to light after one of her colleagues visited her house and the incident is suspected on Sunday night.

Soon after getting the information,the local police rushed to the spot.Police recovered victim’s slippers,clothes, and bones from the incident place.Police also recovered a suicide note from the house addressed to her mother.The note has been sent to the forensic lab.The house owner Vijay Gupta had been taken into custody.The police also questioning the neighbors.

The victim who had been separated from her husband about 10 years.And she had been living with one of her sons.Few days before she had sent her son to her mother’s house.
